Damon Lee Fowler: Damon Lee Fowler's New Southern Kitchen: Traditional Flavors for Contemporary Cooks
This book is not at all vegan, but if you like to adapt recipes to your liking, then David Lee Fowler's are certainly good ones to start with. He has several other books on southern cooking as well that I need to check out.Rick Bayless: Rick Bayless's Mexican Kitchen: Capturing the Vibrant flavors of a World-Class Cuisine
Recommending that southern cookbook made me think of Rick Bayless' Mexican Kitchen and not just because the titles are similar.
