Check it: hope you did your homework, 'cause we're talking about one of the two restaurants that Trina mentioned before she left.
One Friday afternoon a couple weeks back, the whole family headed down the coast to the beach and had a vegan feast at Veggie Grill in Irvine. Oh, and a feast we had. This place is slick, just primed for franchising (you may want to ask them how you can open a franchise, get in on the ground floor, cash in, I'm not kidding, your neighborhood could use one of these). We had:
Sweet Potato Fries - Yum. The chipotle ranch dipping sauce was the star here.
Chill Out Wings - Double Yum
"Carne Asada" Sandwich (the special of the day) - Wow. Savory and toothsome, with a surprisingly spicy kick at the end.
Dessert: Pudding, Chocolate Chip Cookie, Brownie - the brownie ruled, the others were pretty good, not great.
Seriously, just go there. Get in your car now (well, maybe not now if it's like 2am or something) and go there. And tell Trina what you think. Inquiring minds want to know.
